Mortierella zychaeは江原道、M. ambiguaは忠清北道、M. indohiiは京畿道において分離された。

全ての培養株がTTC染色に感受性を有していたが、中でもM. zychaeが最もアラキドン酸の産生能が高いことが示唆された。
