Lichenological notes 1: Acarosporaceae
Acarospora interjectaのネオタイプ標本を指定した。
また、A. pyrenopsoidesのカナダ産標本をホロタイプ標本と検討し、両者が同種でないことから、本種のカナダにおける発生が認められないとした。
その他、Biatorella terrenaに対して新学名Sarcogyne crustaceaを与えた。

Sarcogyne mitziae (Acarosporaceae), a new species from biotic soil crusts in western North America
米国カリフォルニア州、アイダホ州、ワシントン州においてビオティック・ソイルクラスト (BSC) に発生した地衣を検討し、Sarcogyne mitziaeとして新種記載した。
本種は絶対的な地上生地衣で、褐色で皮層を有する地衣体から盛んに”rhizohyphae”を形成すること、分生子が短く類球形~楕円形であることなどで特徴づけられた。
本種は238か所での調査の結果から稀産種と考えられ、人為的要因によって危機に瀕している生息環境に発生していた。
