C. biseptata is known with certainty only from the type collected in a dry evergreen lowland rainforest in northern Thailand. Wolseley and Aptroot (2009) and Aptroot (2009) mention four additional specimens of C. biseptata from Java and the Marshall Islands. One of these, Groenhart 7275 from Indonesia (ABL), was investigated for the present study. This specimen belongs to C. palaeotropica.[1]
