The Annotated Checklist of Lichens, Lichenicolous and Allied Fungi of Channel Islands National Park
米国カリフォルニア州、チャンネル諸島国立公園における調査で504分類群（地衣類448分類群、地衣生菌類48分類群、および類縁菌8分類群）を認めた。
新学名Verrucaria othmariiを提唱し、北米新産種としてPlacidium boccanum、カリフォルニア州新産種としてBacidia coprodesおよびPolycoccum pulvinatumを報告した。
少なくともArthonia madreanaなど7種が本諸島における固有種と考えられた。

米国カリフォルニア州から稀産種のTrimmatothelopsis serpentinicolaを新種記載した。
本種は単一の標本に基づき記載され、火災やその後の撹乱といったタイプロカリティの破壊からそれが唯一の標本となった可能性が示された。
本種は岩上生で地衣体が菌糸体状の基部を有する小区画状であり、子嚢のトーラスが真のアミロイドであることなどで特徴づけられた。

米国カリフォルニア州南部において1883-1884年に採集された地衣の一種を検討し、Acarospora orcuttiiとして新種記載した。
本種は砂質土壌に生じ、地衣体が淡褐色～暗褐色の痂状で、地衣成分を欠くことなどで特徴づけられた。
本種はタイプ標本以降に採集例がないが、生息環境が危機に晒されており、現在は絶滅した可能性も考えられた。
