韓国において淡水および土壌から分離した接合菌2種を検討し、それぞれActinomucor elegansおよびMucor minutusと同定した。
これら2種を韓国新産種として報告した。
両種のコロニー写真、顕微鏡写真、記載文などを掲載し、ITS領域に基づく分子系統解析を実施した。

形態、培養性状、およびITS領域の塩基配列に基づき、当該菌をActinomucor elegans var. elegansと同定した。
接種試験および胞子嚢胞子の生存試験の結果から、本種を生物農薬として利用できる可能性が示された。
