トウヒ属植物を宿主とするTryblidiopsis pinastriを検討し、少なくとも2種の隠蔽種の存在を示した。
カナダにおいてPicea glaucaの枝に発生した菌を検討して以前にエンドファイトとして分離された菌と同一であることを明らかにし、これをT. magnesiiとして新種記載した。
他にも未記載種に相当する葉のエンドファイトが分離され、北米産の本属菌の多様性が従来認識されてきたよりも大きいことが示唆された。
