本種は子実体が中型～大型、傘が黄褐色～帯赤褐色で、担子胞子がシアノフィリックであり、縁シスチジアおよび側シスチジアが狭棍棒形～不規則形または屈曲した棍棒形であり、クランプを欠くことなどで特徴づけられた。
