Convolvulus arvensisに病原性を示す新種Ascochyta erotica

キルギス、チュイ州において雑草のConvolvulus arvensisの壊死した葉から分離された菌を検討し、Ascochyta eroticaとして新種記載した。

本種の分生子殻は長い頸部を有する特異な形状をしており、Phoma proboscisに類似するが分生子やコロニーの形態、生長温度や速度が異なっていた。

接種試験により本種の宿主に対する病原性を確かめ、生物防除における利用可能性を指摘した。
