メキシコ北部の森林から2種の地下生菌、Aroramyces balanosporusおよびA. herreraeを新種記載した。

前者は担子胞子が帯褐色のどんぐり形であることで特徴づけられ、後者は担子胞子に顕著に膨大した翼状の”utricle”を有する点がどの同属他種とも異なっていた。

本報告は北米からのAroramyces属菌の初報告となった。
