パキスタン、カイバル・パクトゥンクワ州においてイヌハギに発生したうどんこ病菌のErysiphe diffusaをパキスタン新産種として報告した。
本種が感染した葉は白粉状になり、無数の微小な帯褐色～帯黒色の丸い子嚢果を生じた。
本種との同定はITS領域の分子系統解析の結果からも確かめられた。
