E. crassumはEntoloma節の大型の種で、E. aurantioquadratumは典型的なInocephalus亜属の種であった。

襞縁部は青色の細胞内色素を含む縁シスチジアにより不稔であり、襞実質の菌糸も青色の色素を含んでいた。
